To cope with the industry needs in a highly demanding market, a reputable FMCG/healthcare brand is seeking for a high calibre External Affairs professional to head up the team.
Reporting to the functional head for Greater China and GM in Hong Kong, you will be leading a small team. By translating brand strategies, you will be responsible for developing and implementing actionable public affairs tactics and creative corporate communications initiatives. These include: cultivate relationship and build organization capability in communication with HK and Taiwan government, regulatory bodies, media and industry associations, in achieving company’s objectives in growth, productivity and culture. As CSR being one of the key focuses of the company, you will also need to engage and work closely with other external stakeholders like NGOs, associations, schools, KOLs, community as well as media (including bloggers, social and traditional media) and etc. Your other key responsibilities are but not limited to: develop annual PR plan; mitigate reputational risks; issues & crisis management; build a high performing team and etc.
The ideal candidate should be a Bachelor Degree holder in Communications / Journalism / Marketing or a related discipline, with at least 15 years of experience in external affairs and corporate communications in international consumer corporation. Candidates with knowledge in nutritional portfolio, healthcare and/or pharmaceutical sectors are highly regarded. You should have good rapport and understanding of government bodies and with in-depth knowledge of local market and with good judgement as well as sensitivity of social-political environment. You are a strong leader with strategic mind-set; self-motivated; creative, result-driven and with entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent external stakeholder engagement experience is vital for the success of this position. You have excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is mandatory.
