With a vision to enhancing the reputation of the organisation in the new and changing political and media environment, our client is seeking for a high calibre media and public affairs professional to lead the function. 

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, you will be leading a sizeable professional team.  You will take the lead in the formulation and execution of the organisation’s strategy for managing public opinions in HK and other major markets through proactive engagement with opinion leaders and decision makers, and shaping public and stakeholder perception to create a favourable climate for its business operation and development.  You will be responsible for developing and implementing measurable initiatives with detailed engagement targets among media and political leaders in the home market of HK and GBA.  You will also be devising an effective programme to work with Board Chairman and management team in outreaching to key opinion leaders in major overseas markets, with the goal of enhancing the organisation’s reputation as a leading player in the industry globally.  Your other responsibilities are but not limited to:  quality control and enhancement of writing text and audio-visual contents produced by the team in terms of messaging, style, visual impact, and storytelling capabilities; establish effective working relationship with cross departments and major business partners in order to build collaborations that promote the overall image of the organisation as a trustworthy economic player, a favourable platform for investment, and an attractive workplace for talent, and etc. 

The ideal candidate should be a Bachelor Degree holder in journalism, public affairs, and/or communications, with at least 15 years of solid experience working at the senior level of large corporations with strong media relations and public affairs exposure.  Candidates with journalism experience is highly sought after.  You are a strong leader acting as a role model in the team, yet with influential skills and confident to work with senior executives at C-level.  Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.  Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese) is mandatory.  High proficiency in speaking Mandarin is required.
