Our client aims to further enhance and reinforce the organization’s positive image and is seeking a seasoned corporate affairs professional to join them. 

This newly created position reports to the Director.  You will be responsible for setting up the function’s infrastructure, developing comprehensive plans, and executing corporate and public affairs strategies in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.  You will implement agreed policies and frameworks of Director’s Office to manage funder obligations and stakeholder relationships.  You will provide strategic advice to the Director’s Office on public communications matters, including media communications and issues/crises management.  You will build strong and positive relationships, with media groups to drive positive news and with external stakeholders to gather intelligence and useful information on political and media developments to mitigate potential reputational risks and/or provide accurate risk assessment and recommendation to management.  Additionally, you will develop key messages and communications materials regarding sensitive issues, work with internal stakeholders to support building a positive image and relationships with relevant parties, handling ad-hoc requests to support organizational relationships and operational decisions and perform other corporate affairs duties as required. 

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline, with at least 12 years of experience in corporate communications within reputable organizations.  You are expected to have solid media relations, stakeholder engagement and issues & crises management experience.  You must have good judgement, political sense, and sound knowledge of local current affairs, along with influential skills.  Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.  Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is mandatory.  Familiar with and/or passionate for the art and culture environment is highly sought after. 

Note:  Candidate with less experience can be considered for a Senior Manager grade
